The SAP Forum for Public Services was held at Delhi on the 7th of August 2013 and saw participation from about 1200 representing delegates from Government and Partner organizations. The event was kick-started with the audience singing the Indian National Anthem and the introductory speech in Hindi, the official language for India. This set the right mood for the events to follow. Suprakash Chaudhuri’s keynote explained to us how India is running better with SAP for the last 15 years.
Our responsibility at the forum was to showcase key localized solutions for India – SAP ERP in Hindi, SRM Bid security and CVC guidelines, SAP File Lifecycle Management and HCM Policy Management for India. SAP ERP in Hindi raised the maximum interest from both, government and partner delegates. We showcased how master data maintenance in multiple languages can be achieved. We also gathered from the audience, the need for SAP in other local Indian languages like Gujarati, Marathi etc especially for printing of the pay-slip and generation of some specific reports. SRM CVC Guidelines solution being certified as per the Indian government norms was well received. Clarifications were provided on the differences between SAP File Lifecycle Management, SAP Document Management system and the unique features about FLM were explained in detail for the different industry scenarios. HCM Policy Management solution was showcased to the audience and generated an interest amongst the partner community. Customers were very keen on upgrading to EhP6 in-order to implement these solutions, especially ERP in Hindi.
The India Localization pod was the most visited demo pod with very enthusiastic customers and partners enquiring about the solutions and proving us valuable feedback.
